Opportunity

A volunteer-run non profit was reaching burnout. With a thousand to-do’s and no paid staff to deliver, the board were feeling pulled in different directions. The pressure was mounting to sharpen their focus and rally community support.

Actions

  • Designed and facilitated a half day strategic planning session
  • Articulated a Purpose and reshaped the Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Assessed where the organization currently stands and where it aims to be in 2027
  • Developed a collaborative exercise to prioritize focus areas
  • Outlined key actions to inform the operational plan
  • Aligned the Board on direction for the Society over the next 3 years

Whistler Independent Supportive Housing Society Strategic Planning Session

Impact

The strategic planning session identified four priorities to anchor its 3-year plan. The Strategic Plan on a Page will guide the Board, help recruit community partners and approach funders.  With alignment on these priorities and a strategy in hand, the Board now have clear actions to advance each priority.

Testimonial

“When I look back at what we accomplished today, I am really happy with how you designed the session and how you brought so much out of us in such a short time! Thank you so much! I am very grateful we had the opportunity to work with you and I look forward to continuing to collaborate!” Board member Kasi Lubin
